September 2009
The summer is behind us and the fall season has begun at RNS. The campus is once again abuzz with activity and laughter and we couldn't be happier. Another great year is underway at RNS and we hope you can share in it. Join us at an upcoming alumni event or make your way to the hill for a sports game, drama or music production, or just to catch some of this wonderful "buzz"! Have a great fall.
Welcome to the New School Year!
We began our 133rd school year this past week on Wednesday, September 9th, welcoming 225 students and their families to the hill. The Class of 2010 (our grade 12 class) arrived on campus on Labour Day for their Leadership Camp and to begin plans for welcoming everyone on Opening Day. This year's grad class includs 42 students , led by our Head Prefects, Victoria Zed and George Aldous, pictured above.
Alumni and friends of the school are always welcome on the hill, and we'd love to have you visit. Come by for a tour, or join us for an upcoming school event, such as a sports game, theatre performance, or community service activity. All events are posted online in our online school calendar.
Annual Giving 2009-2010
Each year we ask our school community - alumni, parents, grandparents, employees, and friends of the school - to join together and give what they can to our Annual Giving campaign. RNS is very fortunate to receive support from a great many people.
This long-time tradition of generosity and the desire to help others truly reflects the values of the RNS community, and it echoes the compassionate and caring qualities that we strive to instill in our students. We are grateful to all who volunteer time and donate funds to our school. This support is crucial to the success of the school.
Our Annual Giving program provides a way for each donor to have an impact on the area of the school that matters most to him or her. Annual Giving contributions provide assistance in many important areas of the school, such as student financial aid, classroom and library learning resources, athletic equipment, and arts projects. Whether you choose to give to the area of greatest need, to an endowed fund in honour of family, a former teacher or a friend, or to a specific area of the school, we want you to know that we appreciate your help. Our Board of Governors and Head of School are careful to ensure that your donations are used in an efficient and effective manner.
Please give what you can each year - every gift really does matter and we are grateful for your support. For information on how to make a donation, please click here. To make a donation online, click on the Canada Helps logo below. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Alumni @ University
Each year a number of young alumni volunteer as reps to help our newest grads settle into university life and to organize gatherings of RNS young alumni at various universities. So, if you're a new grad going off to university and wish to see if your school has an RNS rep, or if you are already at university and want to see if there are any upcoming get-togethers, click here.
As well, be sure to send us your address, email, and phone number at school! We host many events across the country each year, and we want to make sure you get invited. We'd also be happy to send the Head's Letter and other RNS mail to your school address. Send us an email, or call Judy MacFarland at 506-848-0879.
