ESL Summer Experience in Atlantic Canada
Rothesay Netherwood School is proud to offer an extraordinary English as a Second Language (ESL) Summer Experience in Atlantic Canada. This three-week program, held from Tuesday, August 8th to Tuesday, August 29th, 2017, is designed for motivated students aged 12 to 18 years, who wish to enrol in an English speaking school or study English as an academic subject in their own country. The ESL Summer Experience focuses on reading, writing and oral comprehension.
During the course of this program, students will receive 25 hours per week of English language instruction from RNS’s dedicated and professional teaching staff. Students are placed in an appropriate learning level and the classes are kept small, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:15. Our small class sizes allow for individual learning and the opportunity for leadership, development and personal growth through creative problem solving, team building and peer support.
The ESL Summer Experience at RNS also provides recreational activities, sightseeing tours, and social and cultural events. These opportunities allow students to learn more about the Canadian culture and travel within Atlantic Canada including excursions to Prince Edward Island, St. Andrews, Fredericton, Saint John, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. While on campus, students will utilize RNS’s state of the art academic and athletic facilities, as well as participate in evening social activities. Fees for the ESL Experience program include English classes, activities, tours, meals and accommodation.
