Health Services

Rothesay Netherwood School's Health Services team is comprised of school employees and affiliated health professionals. The School Nurses are Ms. Jean Curran and Mrs. Loretta Kolyvas. The Health Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. There is always a nurse on call outside of these hours.

The School Nurses can be reached by contacting the Health Centre at 506-848-0867 or by emailing health@rns.cc . After hours the on call nurse can be reached by pager at 506-649-1002.

Day and boarding students who are ill during the school day are required to check into the Health Centre. If day students are too ill to attend classes, they will be released into their parents' care. Boarding students generally return to their residences in the evening where they receive care from the houseparents. Parents will be contacted in cases of serious illness.

The Rothesay Medical Centre, Dr. David Blagrave, Dr. Gordon Hollway, Dr. Allan Rombaut and Dr. Karen Rombaut, serve as the school doctors and are available for any student of Rothesay Netherwood School. The nurse makes sure that students are seen promptly, usually the same day the appointment is requested. For dental care, including emergencies, a local dentist is available for our students.

Ken-Val Rehab & Sports Injury Centre provides athletic therapy for our students and staff. Athletic Therapist, Mr. Stewart Munroe, has set up a small clinic on campus. Our goal at RNS is to ensure that any student, who has sustained a sports injury, has a safe reintegration into their sport.
