One of the ways that RNS connects with the greater community is through the aptly named Community Performance Series. This series was launched in 2017 as an opportunity to provide the greater community with high-calibre entertainment in a beautiful setting at our on-campus, 206-seat Théâtre Susan B. Ganong.
Our first concert of the 2018-2019 season was held on Friday, September 28th, with The O'Brien Family from British Columbia. These musical siblings - Corman, Fintan, and our very own faculty member Millie O'Brien, wowed the audience with their powerful, energetic and performance. We hope to have them back!
Our second event of the season brought the extremely talented, Montreal-based Trio L'Express to the campus on Tuesday, November 20th. These McGill University musicians delighted the audience with classical music beautifully performed on the flute, piano, and violin. And our third act was the very popular local blues artist, Mike Biggar, who provided soulful sounds and plenty of laughs on Tuesday, February 19th.
The season will close with Saint John's clarinet quintet, Port City 5 on Tuesday, April 9th.
