Andrew Grant '76

Andrew is one of a long list of Grant and Bate family members to attend RNS. Following his graduation in 1976, Andrew attended Queen’s University where he received a BSc in Chemistry in 1981. With a passion for organic chemistry, he completed his PhD at UNB (1987) before conducting postdoctoral research and teaching at the University of Toronto.

Andrew worked in pharmaceutical research in northern Italy before becoming an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Winnipeg in 1995. In 1999, he began teaching chemistry and biochemistry at Mount Allison University, becoming an Associate Professor in 2003 and serving as department chair for a number of years. He has also been a faculty representative on the Mount Allison Board of Regents.

Andrew was appointed a school governor in 2021.
