Application Process

At RNS, the academic program commences at the beginning of September and ends in June.
Applications for the 2023-2024 school year at Rothesay Netherwood School are now open. As space is limited, we encourage families to apply early! 
 
Day students applying for Grades 6 to 12 should note that we will continue to review applications on an ongoing basis; however, we will not be offering spaces for new day students until our current students confirm their enrolment status for the next academic year. 
 
Admission placement for new day students will begin March 1st, 2023 and continue until classes are full. Thank you for your interest in Rothesay Netherwood School.
While we welcome applications throughout the year, and there is no set admission deadline, due to the limited availability of space at each grade level (from Grade 6 to Grade 12) we encourage all applicants to apply as early as possible – preferably six months to one year in advance of planned enrolment.

International students must also apply early enough to allow time to apply for their Study Permit to come to Canada (a process which can take five months or more).

Steps to Apply

  • 1. Complete Our Online Application

    You will be asked to create an account username and password. Please set your username as your email address. A confirmation key will be emailed to you that will allow you to continue with the account sign-in. If you require assistance with signing in to the application, please contact the Admission Office.

  • 2. Submit One Teacher Recommendation

    Download and print the teacher recommendation form here and give it to a current teacher who can best comment on your child. Once the form is completed the teacher may send it directly to the Admission Office by email, fax, or mail.

  • 3. Submit Report Cards

    Please send copies of your child’s last two final reports from school and a copy of the most current report.

  • 4. Submit Birth Certificate and Passport

    Please send a copy of your child’s birth certificate and/or passport (passports are required for all International Students).

  • 5. Student and Family Interview

    Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted for an interview by the Admission Office. Interviews are conducted in person or virtually, if necessary.

  • 6. Application Fee

    • Canadian Applicants - $100 (CAD)
    • International Applicants - $200 (CAD)
    • Payment is required online by credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
