Welcome to RNS Camps

Our goal with RNS Camps is to run a fantastic program where campers can't wait for the next camp to begin. In the upcoming months and years, we will continue to expand and grow the RNS Camps brand, providing a number of different camps, including ESL camps, Multisport camps, STEAM camps, Soccer and Gusto Hockey camps.

  • RNS Camps-3vs3 Female Basketball League

    3vs3 Female Basketball League
    RNS Camps is running a 6 week 3 vs 3 female basketball league beginning on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. This will be open to all Middle School and High School female basketball players who want to continue to get on court in the spring. Players will register individually and each week teams will be made. Registration includes 6 weeks of 3 to 4 12 minute games and a reversible jersey and will be caped at 40 participants per age group.

    Dates and times:
    Wednesdays, April 22-June 3 (except May 6)
    Middle School 5:30-6:30pm
    High School 6:40-7:40pm

    Cost:
    The registration is $55 (HST included)

  • Ball Hockey League

    Ball Hockey League
    RNS Camps’ Ball Hockey League gives players an opportunity to play in a fun, controlled and relaxed atmosphere. Games will be played two times a week at 600pm in RNS’ Bonnycastle Memorial Arena. Players are expected to wear helmets, gloves, shin pads, cup, indoor running shoes and a water bottle. The cost includes 12 1 hour long games and an RNS Camps Hockey Jersey (to be worn for games).

    Rothesay Netherwood School is proud to offer an extraordinary English as a Second Language (ESL) Summer Experience in Atlantic Canada. This three-week program, held during the summer, is designed for motivated students entering Grade 6 to Grade 12, who wish to enrol in an English speaking school or study English as an academic subject in their own country. The ESL Summer Experience focuses on reading, writing and oral comprehension.

    RNS Camps’ Multisport Camp gives campers an opportunity to experience a wide variety of sports, games, and team challenges. Blending instruction, competition, and fun challenges creates a great experience for all participants. This camp provides a fun introduction to many traditional sports through modified game play and skill-building sessions. Co-operative tasks and challenges help these developing athletes to develop an appreciation of teamwork, adaptability, and respect for instruction and rules of play. Our aim for this camp is to nurture an appreciation of sport and to provide an environment where all campers achieve success regardless of their athletic ability. Campers will be grouped depending on numbers, age, and ability. Participants also realize measurable gains in coordination, confidence, and appreciation for various sports and games. The cost includes a hot lunch and 2 snacks each day, as well as, RNS Camps swag.

    During the 4 day S.T.E.A.M. CAMP, campers will have the opportunity to experience science, technology and art in a wide variety of fields. Campers will participate in nature walks to identify animals and plants, they will experience chemical reactions and explore physics and robotics through hands on means. Activities will be set closer to the date of the camp. The cost includes a hot lunch and 2 snacks each day as well as RNS Camps swag.

    During the 4 day Coding Camp, campers will be able to build robots and learn basic coding such as making a robot move, making a robot follow a line, making a robot turn, using basic colour and touch sensors. Campers will also learn how to build a robotic arm and use it to lift and move items in a game board challenge. Campers will be working in groups of 2 and we will only be registering a maximum of 20 campers. The fee includes recreational time, hot lunch and 2 snacks each day as well as RNS Camps swag.

    The objective of the Soccer Camp is to learn new skills and build upon the skills that campers already possess while enjoying the game of soccer. This will be accomplished through a variety of creative and fun techniques and sessions. Sessions will include basic individual control, shooting, and passing. The game will come together through play in mini games, competitions, and scrimmages. Campers will work individually and in groups to develop their abilities, while our qualified and experienced coaches provide instruction on game strategies. The fee includes hot lunch and 2 snacks each day as well as a jersey.

    RNS Camps is excited to offer this unique Leadership Camp for campers styarting Grades 5-8. The aim of this camp is to show young individuals how they can lead in many different aspects of life, as well as, the different ways to lead and understanding their leadership strength. During the program the campers will be given many different opportunities to work through difficult tasks in a safe and supporting environment so they immediately gain experience and confidence in applying these new leadership skills in their life.

  • Academic Camp Canada

    Academic Camp Canada is proud to offer an unique academic Summer Experience in Atlantic Canada. This intensive three-week program is designed for students aged 11 to 17 years who love to learn and discover, who wish to develop academic skills for future study, develop academic and social skills, experience life at a boarding school or just have an enjoyable Summer experience with nationalities from all over the world!

    EXPLORERS (age 11-14)
    Our Exploration classes will help you in grades 9 and 10. We develop your academic skills and we give you a strong foundation for your future learning. You will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including English, mathematics, general science, the arts, social studies and social sciences. 

    ENGAGERS (age 15-17)
    Our Engagement classes will help you in grades 11 and 12. You are ready to choose the subjects you want to specialise in and you know what you want to focus on. You will learn how to engage in the subjects and develop you critical thinking and become more independent in your learning. Subjects to choose from are:

    MEDICAL STUDIES:
    This is a fantastic and practical three or two weeks programme, tailor-made for students who want to study medicine. It is lead by experienced staff who will share and advice students from their own experience. Engage in our interactive, innovative and immersive three-week medical program, including the following:
    • The application process to medical school and helping you prepare
    • Anatomy, physiology and pathology of organ systems
    • Hot topics such as antibiotic resistance, ethics and the law
    • Visits to medical institutions such as hospitals, GPs and research facilities
    • Link to a local medical school in New Brunswick
    • Team work, communication and leadership workshops
    • First aid course leading to a qualification
    • Research project
    There is also an exciting leisure programme where you can explore Canada on our excursions around New Brunswick and discover new activities from kayaking to raft building all on our excellent campus. Join us for a special Summer experience to remember!

During the Camp, campers will hone their design sensibilities through identifying their personal style, becoming familiar with interior design software, creating a design/dream board and building a 3D model of a room. Campers will also participate in a field trip and speak to professionals about Interior Design. The cost includes a hot lunch and 2 snacks each day, as well as RNS Camps swag.
