Tuition and Fees

School fees for each academic year are set in December by the Board of Directors.
The fees for the 2023-2024 school year are as follows.

  • Day Fees

    Day fees include the academic program, textbooks, yearbook, use of recreational facilities, lunch every school day and dinners when necessary, day-to-day health care needs, regular local travel for academic and athletic school trips, and most outdoor leadership trips. Extra fees include novels and workbooks that students retain, optional trips, athletic tournaments, laptop and uniforms.

    Additional fees will be charged depending on student involvement in various programs and spending habits. These may include, but are not limited to: medical insurance, novels, workbooks, laptop, uniforms, certain co-curricular and athletic programs, athletic tournaments, athletic therapy, optional trips and activities, school photos, canteen, and TIES purchases.

    *Canadian Boarding Students must hold a valid Canadian passport, certificate of citizenship, or birth certificate to be eligible for Canadian boarding fees.

    Boarding fees include the academic program, supervised accommodation, laundry facilities, textbooks, yearbook, use of recreational facilities, all meals, day-to-day health care needs, regular local travel for academic and athletic school trips, and most outdoor leadership trips. Extra fees include novels and workbooks that students retain, optional trips, athletic tournaments, laptop and uniforms.

  • International Day Student Fees

    International Day Student Fee
    $37,940

    International Day fees include the academic program, access to and use of school network, technology assistance, all textbooks, yearbook, recreational facilities, lunch every day and dinner when necessary, day-to-day health care needs, regular local travel for academic and athletic school trips and all International Baccalaureate (IB) fees.

    Additional fees will be charged depending on student involvement in various programs and spending habits. These may include, but are not limited to: medical insurance, novels, workbooks, laptop, uniforms, certain co-curricular and athletic programs, athletic tournaments, athletic therapy, optional trips and activities, school photos, canteen, and TIES purchases.

    International Day fees apply to International Students who do not meet the eligibility criteria for Canadian Day Students. A change in the student status after the first day of school (i.e. International Day to Canadian Day) will take effect the following school year.

    Please note that an individual interested in applying for Day Student status is required to live with a parent or legal guardian while attending RNS. A student may not reside with a sibling, relative or custodian, in lieu of parental support whilst a day student at RNS. RNS does not permit homestays. 
  • Family Discounts

    A reduction in fees is offered to second and subsequent siblings attending RNS in the same academic year. The reduction is as follows: 

    10% - Second sibling
    20% - Each additional sibling

    Please note: For those who receive scholarships and/or bursaries, the amount will be deducted from the total school tuition and includes all other discounts.
     
     
  • Tuition Refund Plan

    The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) is an insurance plan that is required for all students who choose a monthly or installment payment plan. TRP must be paid by the start of the school year. You may opt out of TRP if you choose the Annual Plan, and a waiver must be signed.
  • Fee Payment Plans

Note: Students wishing to change designation (for example, from Day to Boarding) should note that the change is subject to availability.
