Music

The RNS Music program offers students the opportunity to experience a wide variety of musical forms. In Middle School, students are taught the fundamentals of both vocal and instrumental sound. They develop competency with a chosen instrument and perform as a concert band.

Throughout Senior School Music, students develop their ability to think musically, advancing their skills in performance, musical and critical analysis, composition, and musicianship. Students develop research and inquiry skills needed to discover music through the ages and across cultures.

Integrating technology with musical literacy, students ably create original compositions that are performed individually or in group for an audience in the spring.
