David Ritchie '89

David is a graduate of the RNS Class of 1989. He was a appointed a School Governor in November 2020.
 
He attended UNB Fredericton following graduation enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program. After university he travelled and lived in Australia for a year working in the hospitality industry. Upon returning from Australia, he then moved to Lighthouse Point, Florida where he began working with Sargeant Marine Inc., a then leading company in the marine transportation of liquid asphalt around the world. He spent nine years with the Sargeant group of companies working in their operations department from the headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida as well as their trading and finance office located in Nassau, Bahamas.
 
In 2003 he returned to Canada to join his father, Brian Ritchie ’62 working in the Marine transportation industry with Rigel Shipping Canada Inc., as well as other business interests including hospitality, commercial real state, residential real state and automotive care. 
 
David currently lives in Moncton, NB and is the proud father of 2 children: his son Cole Ritchie ’18 and daughter Brooke Ritchie, a current student at Bernice McNaughton High School.
