and ESPN Senior NBA Insider
For Immediate Release

Rothesay, NB (September 17, 2025) – Rothesay Netherwood School is pleased to announce the fourth annual Milner Invitational Basketball Tournament taking place on its campus from September 25 to 27, 2025. The tournament will feature the RNS Prep Boys Basketball team and teams from USports and CCAA, including St. F.X. University, Acadia University, TMU, Calgary, Crandall, UNBSJ & STU.

“This is by far the best calibre of teams we’ve ever had,” says Damian Gay, Head Coach of the RNS Prep Boys Basketball Team and RNS faculty member. “It’s not far-fetched to think that in the USports bracket we could have a National Finals preview, and in the College side we could be watching the potential ACAA Champions.” The tournament will be livestreamed by Maritime Profile and is sponsored by Scotia Wealth Management, Scotiabank, and Envision Saint John.

The tournament is named in memory of RNS graduate and former Prep Boys Basketball Team Captain, Andrew Milner ’17, who tragically passed away in a canoeing accident in British Columbia in 2019. At the time, Milner was a kinesiology student playing for the University of Calgary Dinos and recognized as a rising basketball star.

Gay says of the fireside chat with Adrian Wojnarowski, taking place on Saturday, September 27 at 7:30 pm on the RNS campus: “Adrian ‘Woj’ Wojnarowski is an author, an award-winning journalist, and one of the most well-respected and knowledgeable people ESPN has ever had covering the NBA. In his career, he has broken countless blockbusting trades. Now in his new role as the General Manager of his alma mater, St. Bonaventure Bonnies Men's Basketball team, he is helping countless young men reach their ultimate goal of playing professional basketball, including our very own John Ikpotokin ’25.”

Tickets for the tournament are available for purchase at the door. Ticket prices and the tournament schedule can be found HERE. Tickets for a Fireside Chat with Adrian Wojnarowski are $50/seat or $150 for a package of four and are available HERE.
