Jennifer Waldschütz '92

Jennifer Waldschütz was born in Marandellas, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and came to Canada with her Family in April of 1980.  

She attended RCS-Netherwood from 1998-1992, a boarder for one year at North House then a Day Girl the remaining years. Jennifer is a proud member of Red/Stuart House; she was the first RNS 'Environment Prefect', participated in Cadets (surviving winter camping for the Duke of Edinburgh challenge), played a variety of sports such as field hockey, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and was involved in event planning, plays, and various social activities on the Hill including volunteering as a tour guide. Jennifer is a proud recipient of the Paddy McAvity Award. She remains the representative for her Class along with Lyna Champagne.

Jenn attended Mount Allison University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology. 

After University, Jennifer worked in Human Resources specializing in Behavioural Event Interviewing with Recruitment jobs at Manpower Services in Halifax and Kelly Services in Saint John. 

Jennifer was then recruited to work at the Rothesay Netherwood School Development Office. You may remember her calling you regarding donations to the school or with regard to RSVPs for alumni events. 

Jenn moved on to find her dream job working as an International Student Recruiter for The University of New Brunswick where she travelled 8 months of the year spending time in Africa, India, England, the Middle East, the Caribbean, the United States and parts of Asia recruiting students to attend either UNB Fredericton or UNB Saint John. Over 10 years Jennifer helped shape the diversity of both the University campuses and the cities of Fredericton and Saint John. (There were many times, she helped recruit RNS students when the topic of boarding high school came up! In addition Jennifer was able to visit and meet up with RNS alumni all over the world during her travels). 

Jennifer is currently the Diversity & Inclusion Project Manager for the City of Saint John in the Growth & Community Development Office. She works with new and old comers helping them to be connected to agencies and people who can assist with settlement services, employment, housing and immigration. 

In her spare time, Jenn is a Vestry Member at Trinity Anglican Church, Board Member of the PRUDE Inc. All Women's Group, Member of the City of Saint John Truth & Reconciliation Committee,  Founder of the Europeans of Saint John Ethnocultural Group, a Board member of the Union Club and a RNS School Governor.
