RNS Camps - Lead Coding Instructor

The RNS Camps Lead Coding Instructor will work with campers (entering Grades 3 to Grade 6) learning how to build and program robots. The lead instructor will need to build a quick sense of community to help facilitate a teamwork environment and quickly gauge which campers will collaborate best through challenging problems. The lead instructor must be able to differentiate between children who with experience coding and those who are learning to code for the first time. Campers will use EV3 robots and drag and drop coding. The lead instructor will design and set up challenges for the students, help students work with the robots, have fun with camp games and activities, and serve and clean up snacks and lunches. This is a 4-day camp running from Monday, July 22 to Thursday, July 25, 8:30am to 4:30pm daily. The lead will work with an Assistant Leader and Junior Leader or Volunteer and will oversee a group of 20 campers.

 

             Coding Camp – for children entering Grade 3 to entering Grade 6

Lead Instructors are responsible for creating the curriculum, implementing, and teaching the sessions to the campers. Lead Instructors play a key role in creating and defining each of the programs at RNS Camps and take a visible leadership role during each camp session. They serve as the primary instructors for teaching fundamental skills and ensuring that the camp is run to the highest standards. Lead instructors should be passionate about their discipline and love working with young children.
